As a teacher, I’m always interested in how students learn. That interest is what prompted me to teach a course themed around the concept of “genius,” a concept that has a long and complicated history. In this course, we’ll think about that history, how the term has changed, and in what ways each of us is a genius.
I’m originally from Baltimore, Maryland, where I learned to love Ravens football, blue crabs, and of course, The Wire. This summer, I moved to Louisville from the University of Delaware, where I taught for 7 years, with my wife and my dog, Anya. Anya is pictured below.
